Love skiing in Colorado but since I live in Texas it definitely helps to prep to make the adjustment easier and get some of that muscle memory and coordination back for the first day on the slopes. Plus staying flexible helps prevent pulling anything during some of those inevitable wipeouts after a year off the slopes, haha!
