4 gaps we found in 16 public SEO reporting resources

by

We audited 16 public SEO report templates, dashboards, workbooks, and reporting guides using a fixed public-page coding rule. Four findings stood out:

• 3/16 offered a direct download without an account.

• 4/16 documented AI-search visibility.

• 1/16 documented an approval workflow.

• 2/16 documented an owner or due date.

The pattern surprised me: KPI coverage was universal, but the fields that move work forward were rare. A report can explain performance and still fail as an operating record when nobody owns the next action or records approval.

We published each finding as a reusable 1600×900 chart, plus the CSV, source ledger, coding method, and embed code:

Which of these gaps causes the most friction in your reporting workflow?
