Moving a file between your own devices in 2026 is still ridiculous. Email it to yourself? Find the right cable? Upload it to a cloud, then download it again on the other thing? AirDrop, only if everyone happens to be on Apple?

I got tired of it, so I built SendIt; a browser-based AirDrop, for everything else.

Open trysendit.app on both devices, scan the QR, drop the file. That's the whole flow. Works between iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux — directly in the browser. No app, no account, no cloud upload.

A few things I tried to get right:

  • Pairing takes about 2 seconds

  • Send files, text, links, clipboard

  • Files go device-to-device, not through a server

  • If it has a browser, it works

It's still early and I'd love your honest feedback.
