Google's research team just dropped 3 experimental apps today: this app, , and . Selfissmo! is fun. You just need a phone mount to capture those angles while you blue steel. 😚
*steel?
I have the feeling that these apps are data mining and training apps disguised as consumer apps to train their ML/AI efforts πŸ˜‹
A phone mount you say? Or perhaps some form of stick that facilitates the capture of digital self-portraits, and can transform into a wristband for convenience. Ahem! Interesting thought. Thanks for bringing it up 😏
hansel is so hot right now
If only I had the face...
Great app! thanks for sharing it :)
This app and the other two they just released are pretty much the lamest excuses I’ve seen for gathering machine learning data. Yes, these are un-polished MVPs and I’m sure the Google teams responsible for them are already well on their way to v2. These could even end up being pretty awesome products. Out of the gate though, it’s just so blatantly obvious and almost overly-intentional.
Potential killer of the selfie stick. I like it.
I'm so glad somebody/bodies spend time building this when we still have one person dying every 62 minutes due to an eating disorder. 30m people in the US alone in suffer from eating disorders, which has the highest mortality rate of any mental illness. Largely caused by unnecessary pressures modern-day society for (mainly woman, mainly from teenagers - which by the looks of your advertising is aligned with your target audience) to look great. I'm sure you're really talented, and mean well, but put your talent to something worthwhile. Something that's going to make this World a little bit better, not something that undermines the progress of mental health professionals (who already have a tough enough job as it is).
A killer of Apple's Live Photo?..
This does not even look innocent..
The app has potential, but needs some work done!
I'm not a big fan of selfie but I'm sure ladies would kill for this
