I m curious how other makers here handle the early stage of product messaging.
When you are building a new product, it is often easy to explain the feature list, but much harder to explain the product in a short, clear, and interesting way.
I ve been thinking a lot about this problem recently:
Stop fighting your AI. Professional writers often avoid AI because it creates slop that is hard to fix. I built CooWriter AI because I was tired of fixing bad drafts. I wanted a tool that respects the writer's intent.
Take Full Control
Most tools use a fixed flow. You click a button and hope for the best. CooWriter AI is different.
Most makers here live on Lo-fi beats or "Ambient Noise" to get through their backlog. As a SaaS architect, I ve spent months analyzing the spectral impact of these loops.
The hard truth: Standard streaming audio (MP3/AAC) is compressed garbage that strips away the very frequencies required for neural synchronization. Your brain isn't focusing; it s working overtime to "fill in the gaps" of missing audio data.
We need to stop treating audio as "background" and start treating it as bio-engineering.
I ve been experimenting with Euclidean-based procedural synthesis to bypass the "Habituation Filter" (the reason why you stop 'hearing' a song after 10 minutes).
Road to 1,000,000 Votap users Day 69 | Current: 1351 I just hired a new employee a cat? Over the last few days I started working on Votap Premium, and that meant diving into tools like RevenueCat. If you ve never used it before, it basically handles all the messy parts of subscriptions so you don t have to rebuild everything from scratch. It allows you to: create and test paywalls manage subscriptions across iOS (and more later) track revenue, retention, conversions handle edge cases you don t even think about at the start We ll soon introduce two main tiers: Monthly / Yearly Premium Lifetime Founding Voter (one-time purchase, limited offer) But just to be clear: nothing core is going behind a paywall. Voting will always stay free and unlimited. That s the whole point. Premium is more about enhancements, things like: custom username premium badge deeper charts & filters small identity + cosmetic upgrades Right now I m just experimenting with pricing and the paywall itself, seeing what feels right. It s not final yet, just getting the system in place. Feels like one of those big shifts going from just building to actually generating revenue for the first time. Download Votap from the App Store if you want to check it out when it's live. More tomorrow.
I'm the founder of Challenge Run. I built it because I finished a great run pushing my son in a stroller and wanted to share it not send everyone a spreadsheet of pace data they didn't ask for. Just the moment. And there was no good way to do that.
Hi everyone! Today, I m excited to share Covely with the community.
As a software developer, I found myself frustrated with existing finance apps that were either bloated with features I didn't need or locked behind opaque cloud platforms. I wanted something private, performant, and under my control.
I built Covely as a personal finance desktop app using Vue.js, Tauri, and SQLite. It s designed for users who want a clean, fast experience that keeps their financial data local and secure.
