Understanding Travel Technology Through a UX Lens

When I first entered the Travel Technology industry, I thought designing great user experiences was primarily about creating intuitive interfaces and visually appealing screens.

As I explored the industry further, I realized that successful travel products are built on much more than UI. They rely on business logic, interconnected systems, user psychology, and seamless collaboration between technology and design.

Most career guidance tools use the same old playbook: look at generic university rankings, rush through a checklist of documents, and hope a job lands in your lap later.

But rankings don't guarantee a career. The industry is completely missing what actually matters: putting long-term career outcomes first, and the educational path second. Whether someone is looking to grow locally or move internationally, the focus should be on where they want to end up.

I've generated dozens of AI video clips over the past few months. Most never made it into a final video. Not because the AI was bad but because I couldn't control what I was getting.

I m building DaamDekhi, a global price comparison platform for food delivery, groceries, and daily shopping products.

The problem is not limited to one country. Online shopping and food delivery have become fragmented everywhere. Users often need to open multiple apps, search the same item again and again, compare prices manually, check availability, and still may not know whether they found the best option.

For restaurant delivery, the problem is even deeper. Delivery apps often do not show every matching menu item directly in search. A user may search for a dish, but many matching items remain hidden inside individual restaurant pages. So users end up opening restaurants one by one, browsing menus manually, and comparing prices across delivery platforms themselves.
