I created an invoice reminder app and would like to get honest feedback on its onboarding process.
My current project NudgeBill is a small service designed to send nice reminders about payments for freelancers that don't like chasing after their clients. It connects to a straightforward list of invoices and sends out the first reminder three, seven and fourteen days after the client stops replying to the invoices.
So no need for votes. But I'm not sure how to solve onboarding issue right now. A new user should copy & paste a list of invoices into the app and only then use it, and I think that's the moment when people stop.
Two alternatives come to my mind. It might be a sample invoice that sends out a test reminder to your inbox. Alternatively, you can import the data right from the CSV-file.
If you do freelancing, which option would make you continue the setup? And if you managed to fix such a drop-off yourself, tell me what helped you? I'll read all answers and write about my findings (regardless whether they proved to be good or wrong). Be blunt. A comment "looks good" is much less helpful for me than one sentence where you stopped reading.
