How do you really get honest customer feedback in 2025?
by•
I’ve been obsessed with this question lately.
Most survey tools give you answers, but not insights. People rush through, skip questions, or just give generic responses.
We’ve been experimenting with more conversational approaches — where feedback feels like a chat, not a chore. It’s been fascinating to see how much deeper people go when they’re just... talking.
I’d love to hear your experience — how do you get genuine, thoughtful feedback from your users?

I've recently been getting great feedback from users on reddit, most of the feedback is for my landing page but it helped me increase conversion rates.

@maya_esar That’s awesome🙌 Reddit can be such a goldmine for honest feedback. I hadn’t thought about sharing our landing page there might give that a try next. Did you post in a specific subreddit or just share it more generally?
@chrishicken I used a few subreddits such as r/SideProjetcs, r/ProductHunters, r/SaaS and for my case r/BookmarkManager. I'm still on the hunt for more subreddits but these ones lets me post about my product without getting banned.
@chrishicken @maya_esar I'm posting on these subreddits too, and I've gotten quite a few positive feedback here without getting banned.

Let's test this! We just asked for feedback on our launch @ MailerLite so far, nothing lol
Any other ideas on how to get feedback would be really helpful!

@veronika_leskova1 Haha, that’s always the fun part waiting for those first replies 😅 Maybe try following up with a quick, specific question instead of a general “feedback” ask? Something like:
Was anything confusing or missing for you during setup?

@chrishicken oh that is such a good tip Chris!
