EU AI Act now live — we built a machine-readable, enforceable AI license standard

Yesterday, the EU AI Act’s General-Purpose AI requirements officially went into enforcement.

One big change: AI developers must respect machine-readable rights reservations for datasets, models, and content — meaning creators can control if, how, and for what purposes their work is used in AI training.

I’ve been working on AI Privacy License https://www.aiprivacylicense.com (patent pending), think Creative Commons for the AI era. It’s:

• Free, open-source, and enforceable.

• Lets creators set rules like “don’t train,” “research only,” “require attribution,” or “no commercial use.”

• Embeds those rules directly into datasets/models so they travel even after scraping.

• Designed to meet both the EU AI Act and U.S. AI Action Plan requirements.

• How would you implement “machine-readable rights” in your AI workflows?

• Do you think this becomes a default standard, like robots.txt for web crawlers?
