Building a real estate product changed how I look at houses

by•

Working on FixerFlip has changed something surprisingly simple for me: I don't look at a house the same way anymore.

Before, I'd naturally notice the obvious things kitchen, flooring, bathrooms, curb appeal.

Now I find myself thinking about the less visible questions:

What would the renovation actually cost?
What assumptions am I making?
Who is the eventual buyer?
What happens if the resale price is lower than expected?

It made me realize that analyzing a property is less about finding a “good house” and more about understanding the risk behind the opportunity.

For anyone who invests in real estate: what's one thing you notice now that you completely ignored when you were starting out?
