AI terminal that undo's with any LLMs
Hi Product Hunt. I'm Tyler, and I built Verlox on my own.
What pushed me into it: AI tools do things to your machine you cannot see, and when something goes wrong you are reconstructing it from memory. Not "the AI wrote bad code." More like "the AI deleted something and I do not know what."
Verlox is a terminal first. PowerShell, git, npm, all of it, working normally with no AI anywhere near it. When you do want the AI, it proposes, you approve, then it runs. Every command becomes a block with a plain English summary of what happened. Deletes go to a recovery vault. Everything lands on a timeline you can undo from.
Last night, while testing, the AI proposed removing node_modules. My working directory was my home folder, not a project. It ran, and it took C:\Users\tyler\node_modules with it. Verlox had routed the delete to the Recycle Bin, so I got it back. Then I spent the evening making the terminal show you the full resolved path before you approve, so the next person sees where it actually lands.
That is the whole idea. The AI will get something wrong eventually. The job is making that survivable.
Honest limits: Windows only for now, macOS and Linux next. The installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen warns on first run. Free to start, 15 credits a day.
