We heard you. Saturday, Second Brain gets a desktop app. No terminal, no git, just download and go.

Remember when asked if there was a no-code way to get Second Brain running? Or when others mentioned being uncomfortable with git and the terminal?

We listened.

This Saturday (July 25), we're launching the Second Brain desktop app for Mac and Windows. One click. Five minutes. No technical knowledge required. Just download, choose a password, sign into your Cloudflare account, and your Second Brain is provisioned and running.

This is the easiest way to get all of v2 (the knowledge graph, recall-by-meaning, all of it) working on your machine. No wrangler. No Node. No terminal windows. Just a native app that provisions everything for you.

We're coming to Product Hunt again to show you what we built. If you've been curious about Second Brain but the setup felt intimidating, Saturday's your moment.

If you're planning to be there Saturday morning, drop a πŸš€ in the comments. Let's make some noise together.

See you then.

This is a strong move. Removing terminal, git, Wrangler, and Node from the setup makes Second Brain much more accessible to people who want the value but do not want the developer workflow.

The five minutes, download and go angle is exactly what a lot of users need. Looking forward to seeing the desktop launch on Saturday.

Β Most people want the value of persistent memory, not a surprise crash course in Wrangler and Node. The desktop app keeps the ownership piece while making setup feel like a normal product. Looking forward to your thoughts Saturday.

Β Exactly. Keeping ownership without making setup feel like a dev task is the sweet spot. Looking forward to trying it.

Congrats Rahil! So glad you improved the user flow. I will check it out on Saturday!

Β Thank you, Pooja. Your original question helped make the problem impossible to ignore. You should not need to be comfortable with git just to give your AI a memory. Excited for you to try the new flow Saturday.

this is the right call, the terminal/git step was probably filtering out a lot of people who wanted this but weren't going to fight with wrangler to get it. one password and a cloudflare login is a much more honest ask for a non-technical user. will be checking this out saturday.

Β The terminal was doing a surprisingly good job of keeping curious people away. One password and a Cloudflare login is a much more reasonable ask. Appreciate you checking it out Saturday.

The desktop app is live and ready! Would love your support and more importantly any feedback you have!!
