Hey ProductHunters 👋! My name is Christian Thurston, co-founder at SearchEye. We’re pumped to launch SearchEye for the first time, and it’s been 2 years since we began building the product. What does SearchEye do? 👀 Brands: You get access to publishers for mentions, referral links, and quotes. This drives traffic, revenue, and brand awareness by getting your company in front of new audiences. Building your brand signals drives users directly, and these signals are also valued by search engines. 📰 Publishers: We connect you with brands who provide quotes, data, and information that makes your content better. You get compensated, and you can choose which approaches you accept. SearchEye is the marketplace that connects the two. Why this matters for you The two most valuable assets you can have for distribution is a strong brand, and an organic search moat. Acquiring brand signals drives both of these things. Why we’re working on this Both of the co-founders have run services businesses for 5+ years helping brands get visibility, traffic, and revenue from organic search. We know firsthand that brand signals are everything. At the same time, generating these signals was difficult, time consuming, slow, and expensive. We often found ourselves doing massive outreach campaigns where we would reach out to 50,000 publishers and sites, and would end up with 50 publishers who would work with us. Everyone in the industry was doing the same thing. Simply put, outreach should not exist. This is the perfect use case for a marketplace. So we decided to build it. Next steps Brands: If you want more brand awareness, and growth please consider signing up. Publishers: If you want to work with incredible brands please consider signing up. Everyone: I’d love your feedback and comments below. I’ll be actively responding to notes and comments! 💗 Thanks! Christian Thurston

@ct_oz this looks great! One quick question - any specific brand category / industry that you specialise in?
Christian Thurston
@kmanjita Thanks Kausambi! We support all categories, but we've got the most liquidity with tech, B2B, finance, crypto, AI, and legal.

Ken Savage
Congrats on your lunch today. How can both brands and publishers benefit from your marketplace?
Christian Thurston
@kensavage Thanks Ken! To your question: Brands primarily benefit by getting their products, sites, and brand in front of new audiences and users. That drives traffic directly, and also gets more of their target market familiar with them. These authentic signals are something that search engines pay attention to, as well. Publishers get quotes and data from industry sources, while also connecting with brands and thought leaders in their space. This makes their content better, and they can also earn money this way. There's a third, less obvious benefit, and that's where brands become publishers themselves. By doing that they can earn tokens and they can redeem these tokens for their own quotes and mentions.

Congrats on the launch! Are there any social elements or communication channels integrated into SearchEye for brands and publishers to connect?
Christian Thurston
@dennis_jiang2 Thanks Dennis, and great question! That's more for future feature sets. For example, integrating with your Slack so you can integrate with publishers quickly and easily from where you already hang out and work.
Dennis Jiang
@ct_oz Gotcha, makes sense! Can't wait to try those features out!

Nicholas Weber
Are there any safeguards to prevent misuse of the platform by either brands or publishers?
Christian Thurston
@nicweber Hi Nic, great question. And yes, we only charge brands for performance, so that creates strong alignment (ie. you don't pay to just pitch). And we monitor after the fact to ensure the mentions you get are durable. We also use matching algorithms to make sure brands are seeing the most relevant publishers, and that we're matching sites in a similar weight class in terms of metrics, and size.
Devansh Kejriwal
Congrats on the launch!! You mention connecting publishers and brands, how exactly do publishers engage with brands on the SearchEye platform?
Christian Thurston
@devansh_kejriwal Thanks Devansh, good question. When a brand logs in, they see a list of upcoming content that publishers will be releasing along with a deadline. That tells you where the content will live (the website), the title of the content, and the kind of information the publisher is looking for to improve their piece. We show the metrics, and give the brand clear options for how they can engage with the publisher. From there, it's up to the publisher if they accept/reject including the brand. We think hard about the best ways to help publishers improve their content, and we're providing more tools, and features to help them succeed and win!
