Are brands missing opportunities in AI pricing searches?

An audit of 212 brands found that more than half had zero visibility when AI answered pricing-related questions within their categories.

Consider someone using ChatGPT to compare project management tools. They might begin by asking for popular platforms and then narrow their search to pricing, subscription plans, and features included at different price points.

The brands mentioned during those two stages can vary considerably.

AI systems often reference pricing pages, comparison articles, and software directories when answering cost-related questions. This means the sources available for pricing comparisons influence which vendors appear.

For businesses, it makes sense to measure how frequently their brand appears when buyers ask about costs, subscription options, and comparisons with competing products.

Have you checked whether your brand appears in AI answers when buyers ask about pricing in your category?

"More than half had zero visibility" doesn't surprise me. The project management example works because those plans have a fixed price an AI can repeat. Something like fall aeration has no number until we've seen the lawn, and I'd be curious whether homeowners even ask AI that kind of thing yet.
