Should fashion search separate exact matches from similar styles?

by

When image search isn't certain, what should it show?

Most fashion-search tools mix exact items, likely matches, and lookalikes. That creates a confidence problem—especially once prices enter the result.

For Remode 2.0, we separate exact matches from similar styles and verify a live retailer or resale price before showing it. The tradeoff is that honest results can sometimes mean fewer results, or a slightly longer wait.

Which would you prefer?

A) Fewer results, but every item is clearly labeled and price-verified

B) More options, with visible confidence levels

And what evidence would make you trust a match enough to buy it? I’m using the answers to shape the final launch.
