What's the last thing you knew you'd read — and couldn't find again?

I'm Abhishek — I built Rekoll, which launches here on Saturday. But this thread isn't about the product, it's about the problem I kept hitting and want to know if others hit it too.

Mine was a post about pricing experiments. I read it, I remember the argument clearly — something about anchoring on the middle tier. I had saved it. And six weeks later I could not find it, because the only thing I remembered was the idea, and the only things a bookmark stores are a title and a URL. Neither of those contained the word "anchoring". Twenty minutes gone re-finding something I had already found.

That gap is what interests me. A bookmark records where a thing was, not what it said. So the search you actually run later — "the one about X" — is the one search your browser can't answer.

Two things I'd like to hear from people here:

1. What's your most recent version of this? The thing you know you read and couldn't get back to.

2. What do you currently do about it? Notion dumps, a read-later app, tab groups you never revisit, screenshots, nothing at all? I'm genuinely curious what works, including "nothing, I just re-Google it."

Happy to answer anything about how Rekoll approaches this if it's useful, but I'd rather hear the problem descriptions first — those are more useful to me than feedback on my solution.

One shape the answer took, in case it's useful: the things you saved become a queue you can listen to on your phone instead of re-reading them. That's the bit I did not expect people to want, and it's the bit I use most.
