Whoa, this looks really awesome. I hate the lack of context when I send people Excel spreadsheets... more often than not, I want the ability to call out certain information (while allowing someone to check my work if they want to). This seems perfect!
Marek Baranowski
@gkoberger Agree, Excel's interface of an infinite grid is terrible for entering a contextual narrative. Data and text are inseparable and it's high time for a more flexible and human-friendly solution.

@marekbaranowski any plans on creating docs embeddable?
Marek Baranowski
@vladkorobov hi Vlad, we are considering making docs embeddable in a similar way as JSFiddle / JSBin. Is that what you mean?

@vladkorobov could you tell something about your use case? that might help us shape the product. You can also email me: marek@reactivepad.com

@reactivepad @marekbaranowski The simple example would be ROI calculator placed on a marketing website, so we would like to have js code + css code 100% exported

@reactivepad @marekbaranowski @vladkorobov I have LITERALLY the same use-case in mind!

Oh wow, we're planning our wedding now and have all the numbers in mac notes, so have to change total values each time manually. This one could help!
Marek Baranowski
@dmitry_belyaev Interesting use case! Reactivepad seems like a perfect fit for that.
Gianmarco Simone
This is really great, can't wait to see how it evolves!
Marek Baranowski
@gsimone stay tuned!
Michael Syrrakos
Good idea. It takes the clunky-ness out of connecting a Excel worksheet to a Word document for the same effect.
Marek Baranowski
@michaelsyrrakos exactly. Reactivepad allows to do all the work in one place.

While this seems like a great product, I really wouldn't know how to reproduce the examples shown in your pictures, beyond the simplest table-based layout. Maybe the features are not there yet, but you also need to provide some level of onboarding. Cheers!
Marek Baranowski
@chrisfr thank you Chris for your input. You are right about the necessity for some kind of onboarding process and we are working on that, thanks for pointing that out. Also, some features are still missing at the moment. Once we finish the beta phase, we will be talking about the complete product.
Neel Kadia
Really amazing! Are you planning to open source it?
Marek Baranowski
@neelkadia there are plans to open source Reactivepad's text editor, so it would be something like TinyMCE or CKEditor but with spreadsheet capabilities.

I never post, but I had to for this product. Truly unique, and solves a problem that I consistently have. I do these calculations all the time, and more often than not end up translating them to a simple format like the demos. Can't wait to try it out!
Ryan Hoover
This would be a nice addition to Quip and other word processors
Marek Baranowski
@rrhoover true!
Paweł Ko
That would be perfect solution for trip planning. Now I have cost calculations in Excel and trip plan in Word. I will try it with my next trip!
Marek Baranowski
@pawel_koperdowski great use case! And if you are going for a trip with a group of friends, you can all collaborate on the same document in real-time.
