Hi all! I'm Jordan, Product Designer at Raycast 👋🏻 We’re super excited to be kicking off the new year with our first release, Raycast Focus! This idea was born from one of our Rayday’s, and has since become another invaluable tool to many on the team. Big shout out to for tackling this feature head on, and his attention to detail. And to & for riffing and building the early prototype. 👏🏻 Now it’s your turn to set a goal, block out distractions and get more work done in 2025! 💪🏻 Here’s what to expect: 🎯 Set your Goal: This can be a specific task, or a broader aim for the whole day ⏲️ Choose a Duration: Define how long you want to focus for. You can use natural language like “Until 6pm”. 🚫 Block apps & websites: Block out all the distracting apps and websites on your mac that try to pull you away from your focus. You can add websites and apps individually, or select from our set of categories like “Social Media” or “Streaming”. You’re in full control throughout your focus session. So if there’s an urgent Slack message or waiting for code to compile, you can easily snooze the block then jump right back to your work. Check out our quick tutorial to get started with Raycast Focus: Enjoy your focus time, and we can’t wait to hear your feedback!
Hi Jordan and all Raycast team 👋 I'm so glad to find the Raycast the past year🙌 It was the best all-in-product that I found 🤩 I used this Raycast Focus mode, and it's impressive 🔥 Hope for the next powerful updates Keep in touch 🤝
It's an amazing new feature/product inside of Raycast. I just wish I could have a set of default apps/websites to block. Or even simpler, to just remember the last set of choices.
Thanks for the kind words! It should already remember the last set of choices, but we're also going to explore presets 😊

I'm a Raycast Pro + AI paid client. Really the best app on my Mac.
I'm not using the Focus function enough (there are so many great functions on Raycast that I forgot to activate it) but it's clearly what I was looking for.

Is there a way to put a list of what we need to focus on, and when we finish, it will go to the next one?

Keep the great work!

That video is like a short masterpiece movie. One question: Thousands of extensions – what extensions do you mean by this?
Thanks for the kind words 🔥 Regarding your question, where did you see "Thousands of extensions"? We do have a store for Raycast with thousands of extensions 😊
aaa sorry: I referred to the pricing model, there is mentioned in the bullet points Thousands of extensions – so I was curious what extensions you mean :)
Makes sense 🙂 We have a built-in store in Raycast, but you can also view extensions here: 🙂
Awesome feature! Would be great if you could also set a slack status while in focus mode.
thanks for your kind words 🫶 We're going to explore ways to interact with extensions like the one you mentioned (because that would be really awesome for sure)
Unreal video for this! Downloading now as it's feeling almost impossible to fully focus on one thing at a time these days
enjoy focusing!
That video was unbelievable. Hats off to the marketing and creative team. This feature is invaluable 🎯
Thanks Justin, appreciate it!
Very excited to jump in.
Let us know how it goes!
One of my favorite products of all time, with now one of my favorite features! 👏
🙏
This feature was a lot of fun to build, and I hope everyone enjoys it!
Literally couldn't have done it without you!

In-fucking-credible addition to already one of my favorite apps! I used to this with a duct taped solution of OneSec + Ochi + Focus Mode but it got annoying and never stuck. I can feel that THIS IS IT!
This is the one. Let us know how you get on with it.
I think this product is quite good and can help improve work efficiency. Does it have task management features? And is it only available on Mac?
I use Raycast Notes () to write down my weekly/daily todos.
