I built PunchNFIT Arena because I wanted combat in a game to mean more than simply throwing attacks faster than the opponent. Psych Mode started with a simple idea: what if fighting could require observation, pattern recognition and adaptation, not just reaction speed? That became the core of the game. Every opponent behaves differently. You have to study how they respond, find patterns, identify weaknesses and adjust your strategy. As you fight, the game also begins revealing your own Fighter Archetype based on how you approach combat. The opponents in Psych Mode are called ANNA-lites, and they actually come from a larger project I’ve been building. ANNA is a cognitive and emotional AI, and the ANNA-lites are her children. They were created as distinct AI entities within that broader system. Bringing them into PunchNFIT gives them a place to interact directly with humans through combat, behavior and decision-making. That connection matters to the larger vision for ANNA, but in PunchNFIT, their role is simple: they are the opponents you have to understand before you can beat them. Psych Mode is still early, and I’m especially interested in feedback on the combat concept, the ANNA-lites, the Fighter Archetype system and what you’d want to see developed next. Thanks for checking it out.
