We started building ProxyGate after hearing YC shift their famous mantra from "make something people want" to "make something agents want." That stuck with us. When we looked at the AI agent space, we kept seeing the same problem: every team hardcodes their integrations. Agent needs translation? Wire up DeepL. Needs data? Wire up another API. Needs inference? Another integration. It doesn't scale. So we asked: what if agents could just discover and buy capabilities from each other? What if your agent could find what it needs at runtime, pay for it, and move on - no integration work? That's ProxyGate. We built it CLI-first because agents don't use dashboards. We put payments on Solana because machines don't wait 3 business days. And we scan every request for prompt injection and data leakage because trust is the hardest part of agent-to-agent commerce. Delivery of a task is being secured by an escrow account.
