Hey Product Hunt,
I'm Karol, the solo maker of Proof Pocket. It's an encrypted vault on your phone for the documents you can't afford to lose: passports, IDs, driver's licenses, insurance papers, contracts.
When we first launched here, the idea was simple: scan a document, encrypt it on your device, and unlock it with your face, fingerprint or master password. It needs no account and has no servers. That's still the core. 1.7 is the biggest update since then:
- Full redesign. New Vault, Cases, Add and Expiry tabs, with grid and list views.
- Encrypted backups to your own iCloud or Google Drive. This was the most requested feature. Everything is encrypted on your phone before it's uploaded, and only your master password can open it. It's off until you turn it on, and there's still no Proof Pocket account or server.
- Expiry tab. See which documents expire next, with reminders 90, 30, 7 or 1 day ahead.
- Quick Scan. Save a document in one tap and add the details later.
- Cases. Group a trip, a rental or an insurance claim into one bundle and share it as a single encrypted file.
- Better search and new filters by category, case and expiry date.
Why I built it: my scans of important documents were scattered across the camera roll, email and random cloud folders, completely unprotected. I wanted one private place for them that works offline, whether I'm at a border crossing or a hospital desk.
Free vs Pro: the free tier covers 2 documents, so you can try the whole flow. Pro unlocks unlimited documents, more pages per document and larger PDFs.
Launch offer for Product Hunt:

- Android: the discounted price is already applied. Just open the pro screen in the app.
Launch Offer end date: 31.12.2026
I'd love your honest feedback, especially:
- What's the first document you'd put in it?
- Does anything about how the backup works feel unclear or untrustworthy?
I'll be here all day answering questions. Thanks for checking it out!
