Live Sessions by Projector - A new way to present from anywhere, no screen sharing

Hey everybody! I’m super excited to introduce something major and new from Projector today, aimed at giving you all a better way to present visuals to a distributed audience. We’re calling it Live Sessions, and it offers you a new way to host and guide an immersive, shared, synchronized viewing experience without having to share your screen. We’ve received a bunch of feedback that screen-sharing presentations and other multimedia materials over Zoom has been making people sad. And that’s been making us especially sad, because we want people to be proud to share the things they create in Projector. Since Projector is already a collaborative _editing_ platform, we thought: why not build a better shared _viewing_ experience? Why are we sharing our screens — making our graphics look fuzzy and our videos choppy — when we could have everyone open a higher-quality, synchronized view in the comfort of their own devices? Along that line of thinking, Live Sessions was born. *How it works and why it’s cool* 1. You can create a Live Session from any visuals you create in Projector 2. Everyone in your audience opens the Session on their own device. Videos are HD and fast, transitions animate smoothly, links are clickable 3. You (as the host) get to control what your audience sees — when you move to the next slide, they move with you 4. Your audience can navigate to earlier slides on their own time. If they want to revisit something you’d said earlier, they can, and they can always sync back live. They just can’t skip ahead of the host — we don’t support spoilers! 5. I had the privilege to be a part of the early users of Live Session before their first kick-off. I am using Projector since their very first version. I saw the evolution of their UI backend to be amazing for the relevance of UX. Live Sessions is a promising solution to bring a unique experience presentation tool on the table. Congrats for launching on PH!
