This is actually a really interesting incentive for builders who were hesitating to launch publicly.
One thing I’ve noticed while working around launches like Turgo is that launching early often creates clarity much faster than trying to perfect everything privately. Real feedback changes priorities quickly.
Feels like more founders should treat launches as validation loops rather than final presentations.
This is great @aaronoleary aaronoleary 🙌 quick Q before I commit — if a launch lands a YC interview slot but the founder has a 24h Launch already locked in for a later date, does the YC tag mean using your one Launch on Friday, or is it a separate flag on top of a future Launch? Trying to figure out whether this is a "do it now or never" or "can layer on later." Cheers!

Hi Product Hunt team, I’m preparing to launch with the “YC application” tag and just realized the earliest schedulable date is Saturday, May 9, since today’s Friday, May 8 window has already passed.
Will Saturday launches with the “YC application” tag still be in scope for @gustaf’s review, or is the window strictly limited to Friday, May 8?
I can schedule for Saturday, May 9 or move to Tuesday, May 12, I just want to make sure the launch lands in the right review pool.

Didn't expect PH to have a direct line to Gustaf but that's actually a pretty solid signal of where PH sits in the ecosystem right now.
The interesting thing about this kind of deadline extension is it filters for builders who were almost ready but needed a forcing function rather than people who are completely unpolished. That's probably a better YC signal than the usual deadline rush anyway.
Can the venture operate in a single country initially?
