How to write a Product Hunt comment during the launch day?
First things first:
Don't write the comment during the launch day, but before (prepare everything in advance) π
Jokes aside.
β οΈ Anytime I see the launch without the first comment, it feels a little bit sloppy, and the product is not that trustworthy for me (this is just my perception).
Why is the first comment important?
It helps me to become more familiar with the product.
May contain information that does not fit in the PH launch layout.
What should the first PH launch comment be/what should it contain?
β A properly filled out profile of the commenter (more trust)
β The reason why the idea came about.
β An outline of the problem.
β What the tool can do / Benefits
β Or some kind of promotion
β A conclusion (it could be thanking someone, tagging them)
β Try to break it down (for example, use bullet points for greater clarity)
β Try to keep it short (people may not read a comment that is too long)
β Make sure you follow the PH Guidelines and rules
Do you have any tips of your own, or did I miss something?
Write them in the comments.

Here's mine Feedback is welcomed!
A few months ago, while I was working on another project, I found myself incredibly frustrated by wasting valuable time switching between platforms, managing multiple subscriptions, and working with fragmented data. I called this the Three-Fold Problem.
After discussing this with over 200 professionals from my personal network, it became clear that this was a significant problem that almost everyone I talked to was experiencing.
There are thousands of great platforms out there. However, when mapping out the customer value chain, I noticed something. Consider this example: a typical professional might rely on Superhuman for email, Slack for team communication, Notion for tasks, Dropbox for files and storage, LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting, Zoom for meetings, Calendly for scheduling, Apollo or Salesloft or Outreach for outreach, HubSpot or Salesforce for CRM, and Crunchbase for data and as a media distribution channel. Itβs an incredibly fragmented environment.
Now imagine a team of 20 paying for this stack β it adds up to over $80,000 per year, just to operate effectively.
While each of these tools provides value individually, using them collectively becomes value-eroding. Although these SaaS solutions are essential for daily business operations, their combined use is costly, inefficient, and time-consuming, further validating the Three-Fold Problem and the demand for a solution.
As a result, Aiobis was born! Aiobis stands for All-In-One Business Interaction Suite, and it consolidates the typical business stack into a single access point β powered by AI + data.
Your personal, super-intelligent AI assistant.
An AI-Native OS for the Future of Work, Privacy and Communication that understands goals, not clicks.
Not just another tool in the stack, but The Stack itself.
Where Work Gets Done.

@martydΒ Hey Mariyan :) I like how you narrate a story. Personally, I would create a short intro (5 lines at maximum) where you outline your motive for why the tool was created.
Then you could outline:
β What is the problem
β Who is it for
β Helpful Features (what it can do)
β Results/benefits from the tool
....
Do not be afraid to work with Bullet lists to make the text more readable and highlight some parts (e.g. question "Who is it for" with bold) β Product Hunt gave us formatting tools, so feel free to use them to make comments more digestible. :)
For example, this one is kinda clear:

CodeDesign.ai
@martyd i dont feel its easy to read through big paragraphs. i feel it could be modified to make it straight forward, easy to read, and minimal
you could use AI for the better.
i pasted your comment in chat gpt and asked it to modify to make it easy to read.

Hereβs mine β feedback welcome
A few months ago, while working on another project, I kept running into the same issue:
* Constantly switching between tools
* Paying for multiple subscriptions
* Dealing with disconnected data
I called it the Three-Fold Problem.
After talking to 200+ professionals, I realized almost everyone feels this pain.
A typical team uses:
* Superhuman (email)
* Slack (comms)
* Notion (tasks)
* Dropbox (storage)
* Zoom, Calendly (meetings)
* Apollo, Salesloft (outreach)
* Salesforce, HubSpot (CRM)
* LinkedIn, Crunchbase (data/media)
For 20 people, this adds up to \$80K+/year β not to mention the inefficiencies.
---
Thatβs why I built Aiobis β All-In-One Business Interaction Suite.
* Replaces the modern SaaS stack
* Unified by AI and real-time data
* Focused on goals, not clicks
> Not just another tool β the stack itself.
> Where work gets done.
---
similarly you could ask ai to generate and modify according to your needs to make it easy for the viewers
@martydΒ @rahuuzzΒ This looks pretty good. At first, reading Mariyan's it was nice to see how it was explained however i kinda had to push myself to read it lol. Bullet points all the way!

@martydΒ @rahuuzzΒ Hey Rahul β you got the point, just make space between some paragraphs :)
Don't afraid to have some paragraphs maybe 2 lines long :)
CodeDesign.ai
@martydΒ @busmark_w_nikaΒ yes!, and also bit of formatting as already mentioned- adding plenty of white spaces to avoid the clutter, some bold for highlighting some parts.
if youre using chatGPT to craft the comment, i would suggest not to copy everything from chatGPT (which i did in above response in a hurry π π) as some of the formatting are lost I guess.
Thank you@busmark_w_nikaΒ and @rahuuzzΒ Notes are being taken into consideration as we implement ongoing updates.

@sentry_coΒ I sometimes read because I want to know "Why" β in many cases it is not on website so I am looking for some additional info in comments :)
Pssst, I just finished my launch comment. π€« This is very helpful to check if I follow this. Thank you, Nika! :)

@jan_slovacekΒ You are welcome :) Hopefully, this is valuable :)
@busmark_w_nikaΒ Just released my comment under our product launch. Feel free to check it out! :) a zdravΓm na Slovensko πΈπ°

@jan_slovacekΒ ZdravΓm nas5! :D The comment is perfect and I like how you kept bullet points visible (the first part is highlighted in bold) and the rest is pretty brief. Nailed it!
Wrote that down for my launch! As always thanks Nika :)

@laura_cornelyΒ You are welcome, Laura :)
Thanks, Nika! This topic is awesome. Who can refuse such a thoughtful launch reminder?π

@partick_supportΒ Are you about to launch anything? I mean... are you in a phase of preparing comments? π
@busmark_w_nikaThe plan is to release widgets in the future, but the company has more important projects shortly, so my focus has shifted, and I'm holding off on the original project for now :)

@partick_supportΒ Looking forward to your updates :)
Slashit App
Insightful post, just launched our product today, may be you can enjoy our comment: https://www.producthunt.com/products/slashit-app

@mhmanik02Β I read it and actually liked it! :)
Slashit App
@busmark_w_nikaΒ Thank you Nika. Actually earlier I did that wrong and after noticed this post from you I write that again and tweak a little bit with AI. But I think this post boost me to write the comment 1 more time. Thanks again.

@mhmanik02Β You are welcome! :)
+1 to all of this. Prepping the comment ahead saves a ton of launch-day stress. I usually treat it like a mini landing pageβhook, pain point, what it does, why I built it. Bonus if it reads like a human, not a pitch deck.
minimalist phone: creating folders
@chen951381Β Yeah, it is very crucial to stay human when everything is so synthetic :)

I have no inputs to add to the thread, as almost everything is already covered, and it's essential not to overcomplicate it. I'm loving the comments on this!

@sanskarixΒ "it's essential not to overcomplicate it" β you got the point :)
Chepo
Thank you! I will definately try

@hidaytrahmanΒ Then wanna see many upvotes on your comment :)
Augmented Reality 2021
Great advice! This is going straight into my file for my next launch. Which is coming soon... I swear ;-)
minimalist phone: creating folders
@danischenkerΒ Good, good! :D What are you about to launch? :)
Augmented Reality 2021
@busmark_w_nikaΒ "about to" is probably too optimistic... But I am working on an idea management tool for makers and creative people, who have way more light bulb moments than time...
minimalist phone: creating folders
@danischenkerΒ aaa okay :) So when it is done, remind me in this comment again! :D :)
Augmented Reality 2021
@busmark_w_nikaΒ I'll do that!
