⚡ 5 New Problems to Build a Startup | ProblemHunt

  1. Dating apps fail for complex lives (illness, relocation, unfulfilled youth). A platform is needed for matching based on life path compatibility.

  2. after every client meeting, I need to write a structured report for colleagues. Existing corporate tools (Microsoft 365) are inefficient and slow for this.

  3. loses focus and productivity juggling 5-7 tools for a single project. Existing «all-in-one» platforms don't provide the feel of a unified workspace.

  4. cannot accept international payments on Shopify. PayPal blocks, Stripe is unavailable. There is no payment gateway that does not discriminate based on geography.

  5. cannot monetize a loyal audience: there is no safe and effective platform for deals with small brands and those willing to work with small influencers in India.

Moderation foreword:

Loneliness is a widespread global issue. Research indicates that levels of social isolation have increased, and many consider this a critical trend requiring attention. We understand this is a monumental challenge for a startup. But if you succeed, you will change millions of lives. If you build an effective solution, we are ready to introduce you to several investors. Simply the founder of ProblemHunt.

Interesting that most of these aren’t “new tech” problems; they’re coordination and infrastructure gaps. Payments, focus, compatibility, monetisation. Feels like distribution and access are the recurring themes.

Interesting observation — thank you for that! :)

I thought problem 2 has been solved with many note taking tools, right? Fireflies and Otter do a good job from what I've experienced.

Problem 5 is a tough one. There are many influencer management tools in India - but as the problem author pointed out requires a service + product focused on that end of the market. Wonder how monetizable it is.

Hi, my friend! That may be true, but do they solve the problem well enough? :)

For problem #1 — network effects are very hard to achieve. One idea is to start with narrow communities and grow gradually.

Like Facebook — it started with a small community at one university and then gradually grew from one small community to many communities.
