It's a bit too simple at this moment, but this can be great in the future.

Pros:

Easy to use.

Cons:

No ability to add files other than pictures and videos.

@richard_zoltan_toth thanks for the review! Curious to hear what additional features would you like to see in the future? What types of file formats would you like to add? Appreciate your feedback :).

This is great. Feature request: the ability to add images into the preso directly from Google image search.
Ashok Raju
@jepatel Interesting idea. So I assume you can easily screenshot your own product from your computer, so what kind of images would you grab from Google image search?

Looks like a frictionless way to share demos, support ticket information, or pretty much anything where you need to show how something does or doesn't work!
Ashok Raju
@mmmmmikes "or doesn't work!". That's a really good point. This would make bug reports so much easier for users! Thanks for the feedback :)

Love it. Great idea and design!
Sonya Jain
Love it! I can see our customer support team finding this useful

Great job Ashok, this looks awesome!
Ashok Raju
@justindeguzman_ Thanks Justin :).

I request some features: 1. Inline embed feature: I can embed directly Presto content to my blog posts. 2. HTML support: I can drive the customer to other Presto project or my pages. 3. CNAME and white label: I can hide Presto branding 4. Media URL import: I can skip the upload from my computer and upload from URL that super fast and useful. 5. Comment support: customer can leave their comments. 6. oEmbed support: I hope a feature just copy the Presto link and paste to my content and it change to the content. It look like Youtube does. 7. Markdown support: if you don't support HTML for some security reasons, please support Markdown as Trello did.

Pros:

Fast and useful for support

Cons:

only photos and videos.

Hi everyone! Excited to post my first ever product on ProductHunt :). I created this tool because I personally kept having to share how-to's, product demos and explainers with several people over email. I realized I was doing the same thing over and over: create a step by step guide with text, images and videos. So I built a tool that made this process super easy. To see how it works, here's a product demo of how you would create a product demo (inception!) on Presto: https://www.getpresto.co/s/seDSw... And here's an example product demo for slack: https://www.getpresto.co/s/keH46...

@ashok_raju looks nicely done. Out of interest though, how is this significantly better than, say a knowledge base article with step by step headings in a flow down a page?
Ashok Raju
@samrye_enspiral Thanks for trying Sam! Yeah that's a good point, but I found myself and others in Customer Support having to still respond with one off instructions (over email for example) to users with unique issues/questions. Do you use a knowledge base wiki? If so, how easy is it for you to create something like this and share?
Yuna Akazawa
@ashok_raju Really nice and simple product! It would be great to be able to do screen shots or screen captures directly from the product. Maybe with a chrome extension or desktop app?
Ashok Raju
@yuna_akazawa1 Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely considering this to make it even easier to create the media itself.

@ashok_raju I've worked with various forms of customer support before. I would probably use a KB wiki (whichever - they're much of a muchness) and use Loom to do video grabs and walkthroughs, then just embed in the page.
Kaushik Thirthappa
@ashok_raju I can't hear the background music on the slack video. Also, how can i embed this on my own website?
Ashok Raju
@ktkaushik Hey Kaushika thanks for trying the product! Regarding video and audio, my thought process was that audio requires users to put on headphones making it more difficult to consume. I was initially thinking of only supporting images and GIFs, but it was easier to just allow audio-less video. Very open to learning and improving the product based on your feedback - how important is audio to you? What are your thoughts on the product restricting this to make it easier for users to consume? Also right now there is no way to embed, but feedback noted!
Kaushik Thirthappa
@ashok_raju A how-to guide without video won't make sense in my case.
Alex MacGregor
This is a really nice idea. Solves the problem of having to develop custom content for customers that would normally cost a lot. More than than, saves time. Congrats on the execution.
Ashok Raju
@ajmcgr thanks Alex!
