PawPause - A desktop companion for focus, breaks, and agent updates

I often found myself getting lost in other tasks and completely missing the moment when my agent had already finished its work. Codex’s digital pets were a really fun idea, but they’re limited to the Codex environment. I wanted something that lives directly on my desktop and works across everything I do. So I built PawPause — an open-source pixel desktop companion that keeps you updated on your agent’s progress, while also reminding you to take breaks, drink water, and stay focused. It also taps into the Codex pet ecosystem, so you can reuse and bring those companions onto your own desktop. Would love to hear what you think 🙌
