Pakit - Ship goods to other countries via travelers

by

Senders can ship goods from one place to another via travelers, and we are connecting senders with the travelers. Travelers can earn money by utilizing their unused baggage space. Travelers pay a large amount at airports for carrying extra luggage, so we connect such travelers with people carrying less.

This seems a bit risky, but I like the concept. I know some aunts & uncles that would definitely take advantage of a service like this.
I've seen a ton of Facebook Groups dedicated for this purpose, it does seem a bit scary..
you can also use Grabr)
we've definitely done this type of stuff with friends of friends of friends (basically strangers) but not through Pakit. It's mostly to shop clothes or foreign snacks, and we've done the same for others. There's always a risk to it, and though we've personally never had anything stolen, there's always that risk of happening.
I thought about building this a while ago but I didn't think it was feasible if it happened outside the airport. I'm not going to bring a luggage that I didn't pack through security (it is also not possible to do so, i.e. flying Europe - US, they ask you that explicitly) and at the same time I shouldn't open it to see what's in it for privacy reasons. How do you plan to address this? Curious to hear your thoughts.
same here!
This idea is so old, why am I still seeing this here. How is this any different from the other dozen failed services that tried to do this?
first time I've seen it implemented, but I'm curious as to what other alternatives there are out there.
Good find ! How did you come across this?
Beta List 😂
The idea is nice but there might be some security concerns. What if someone ships something illegal? Who would take responsibility for that? What if the package gets damaged? Do you guys have insurance?
I personally haven't used it, but those are fair concerns.
lol you can't see the FAQ page without signing up…?
haven't used the product yet, but that's odd 🤔
I would recommend watching an episode of Border Security: Australia's Front Line to see the hazards presented in this idea e.g. Schapelle Corby.
