@sarah_butler1Β Every cleanup session feels like an archaeological dig. You go in expecting to delete files and come out discovering things you forgot existed.

Same, Downloads every time. It's basically where files go to die. I keep telling myself I'll clean it up "this weekend" and that weekend has never once arrived.
@tehreem_fatima5Β Random PDFs seem to multiply on their own Every time I clean a folder, I find another batch of manuals, invoices, receipts, and reports.

Downloads, of course. But screenshots are becoming a serious competitor. And then there are my 20 open browser tabs, which seem to worry other people more than they worry me
@kseniia_cheΒ The screenshots folder and browser tabs are definitely competing for the title of "most chaotic workspace." Somehow both grow faster than we expect.
@wikihoneyΒ Downloads seems to be the clear winner so far, It's where files go with good intentions and then quietly stay forever.

Mine is definitely Downloads too. I used to dump everything into various cloud drives just to clear local disk space, which just moved the mess online. I use All Cloud Hub to pull all my random storage accounts into one view so I can at least search through the chaos across multiple drives at once.

The Downloads folder has a special talent for turning "I'll organize this later" into a permanent storage strategy.
Desktop. Bi-monthly ritual:
Move all items into one misc folder.
Feel good for about a week.
Watch screenshots and temp files accumulate
Repeat.

The "misc" folder is basically a temporary solution that somehow becomes a permanent archive. The cycle is very real.

It's amazing how quickly a clean desktop can transform. You blink once and suddenly there are files everywhere.
My download folder is the messiest, too.
