Hi everybody! I'm excited to announce that my product is live on Product Hunt! 🚀
Nucelo is an open-source minimal blogging platform. I developed this product for a blogging platform without annoying paywalls and unreadable user interface.
Best features for your blog:
◆ Content editor (Simplifies content creation with formatting tools and lets you create engaging posts effortlessly.)
◆ Analytics (Nucelo simplifies your blog analytics, providing vital information about geographic location, device types, browsers and referral sources, giving you a better understanding of your audience.)
◆ Password Protection (Secure your personal or company projects and protect them from unauthorized access by applying password protection.)
◆ Collect Emails (Independently build your own email list without the need for additional newsletter tools.)
I put great effort into this product to make it user-friendly. I'd love to hear your feedback. Thank you for your support! 💪
It’s so refreshing to see a minimal and modern blogging platform. 👏🏻
A team member “editor” option for adding content writers/contractors might be a neat future option. ✍️ ✨
It's clean and nice, but too minimalistic is not necessary good for the market you're in, in my opinion. You're missing especially more info and a couple of must-have features, when it comes to blogging.
What's the difference between an article and a project, from a blogging perpective? I have tried both and they just seem exactly the same, with same editor, same outcome. Not sure.
Logging in with magic link can be very annoying. It is ok the first time for onboarding, but then I don't want to check my email anytime I need to log in. Plus mail server problem or flagged sender = no link received. I want at least also a username and password (by the way, Gmail signup option didn't seem to work => not clickable).
The two features that are missing are roles and authoring at least for domain version. Even if you were catering only to personal bloggers (and that's not what I get from the "minimal blogging platform" line), people work to grow, and when it comes to growing in blogging sooner or later one will need guest posts. An admin and editor/guest roles plus the chance to append an author section to the article for SEO authority are much needed in my opinion.
Still a great jon and an excellent start (markdown on copy/paste is spotless, design is the correctly minimal one, the editor is simple and user-friendly), therefore I'm definitely supporting this.
@fabiosalvadori Yes that's true. There is no obvious difference yet. An addition to the projects is you can lock them. I wanted to keep them seperate for people who are not writing articles often but still want to share their projects. But if you have any idea let me know.
I get what you mean. I planning to add to login with username and password as well. I will fix the "Continue with Google" button soon.
Did you find the email in spam or can you give more info?
Regarding the roles feature, those are very nice feedback. I'll keep that in my mind.
Again thanks a lot for feedback!
Great to see an open-source option for blogging with a minimalistic approach!
How does Nucelo handle SEO and customizability for users who might want to tweak the design or functionality?
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin Thanks. I kept the SEO part simple for the first version. You can change SEO title, description and open graph image right now. But if you are looking for more, let me know.
This is great! Love the aesthetic and the pricing. A suggestion, when looking at other blogs from the main page, in your demo, it's just text, thumbnails would be nice. Also, it would be nice to have thumbnail support when sharing as well, for example, when sharing on Twitter, Medium embeds this huge thumbnail, the same would be nice. Congrats!
Amazing job @manafov. When you said 'minimal' it actually is and I appreciate it. Blogging must be rethought and you're helping a lot on this. Really congrats!
No frills and straight to the point!
Congratulations on launching!
Can we also get a light mode please? While dark mode is beautiful in most places, sometimes I just want light mode. 😅
@naomigarcia Thank you. Maybe it's a bit hidden, but it's at the bottom in the website. You can switch to light mode in the application by clicking on your profile picture.
Hey manafov! This sounds like exactly what I need for my blog. Thanks for making it open-source! Just wondering, do I need any special tech skills to set it up? I'm not super tech-savvy. Thanks!
Hey @manafov
Is Nucelo the blogging platform for me? It promises an open-source, distraction-free experience. Does it offer the customization I need, or is it too minimal?
@jpgohil93 I try to provide the best experience for blogging. Everything you need is here. Of course, there are some deficiencies that will be corrected over time.
