What is NOVA?

I would like to present a software application developed specifically for industrial manufacturing environments, designed to optimize production planning, monitoring, and operational management.

The application is built as a multi-user platform, where each user has a clearly defined role within the production process.

The system structure includes:

  • Administrator:

    • defines production areas;

    • configures machines and work centers;

    • manages users and access rights.

  • Planner:

    • creates semi-finished product codes and material codes;

    • defines standard production times for each component;

    • creates technological routings;

    • releases production orders.

One of the key advantages of the application is its dynamic production planning capability.

When a production order is released, the system automatically generates a Gantt Chart displaying:

  • all production phases;

  • operation sequences;

  • estimated production start times;

  • machine loading and scheduling.

The application allows real-time monitoring of production issues and operational constraints.

In situations where:

  • delays occur;

  • additional downtime is introduced;

  • one operator is assigned to multiple machines and cannot physically operate them simultaneously;

the responsible production personnel can enter this information directly into the system.

The platform automatically highlights delays using red delay indicators within the Gantt Chart, after which the entire production schedule is automatically recalculated and adjusted, providing an updated and realistic overview of production capacity and delivery timelines.

The application also includes raw material and supplier management functionalities:

  • suppliers can be assigned to raw materials;

  • the system automatically calculates material requirements based on released production orders;

  • if available stock is insufficient, the system automatically generates a “Purchase Advice”, providing immediate visibility into procurement needs.

Another major advantage of the application is its flexibility. The solution can be fully tailored to the specific requirements of each factory or production flow, ensuring that the system accurately reflects real operational processes.
