Notelace - Markdown notes, database views, and private AI

by
NoteLace is a local-first Markdown notebook for linked thinking. Write offline, connect ideas with wiki-links and backlinks, and organize notes with table, board, and calendar views. Your notes stay exportable as plain .md files. AI is optional: bring your own API key or run a local Ollama model. Optional end-to-end encrypted sync keeps your notes available across devices. Available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Willem, the maker of NoteLace. I built NoteLace because I wanted one notebook that combined the things I use every day: linked ideas, structured views, offline access, and sync that does not make my notes feel rented from somebody else’s cloud. NoteLace stores content in Markdown and works offline. You can link notes with [[wiki-links]], surface backlinks automatically, turn properties into table, board, and calendar views, and use optional private AI with your own API key or a local Ollama model. There is a 14-day trial without a card. I would especially appreciate feedback on the writing experience, onboarding, and the balance between simplicity and power. Try it here: https://notelace.app
