Hi Product Hunt! I am Stefano, the Founder of Noisli. I would love to introduce you to Noisli 2.0, our most significant update since launch in 2013, and have your precious feedback. The service is mainly used to drown out annoying noises in order to better concentrate and to enhance productivity, or to create a pleasant audio environment for relaxing or sleeping. The new Web version includes the following updates: • Ability to create user profiles • Save and share your favorite sound combinations • Timer, to easily use time management methods such as the Pomodoro technique • Enhanced text editor, to pleasantly write in a minimal and distraction free environment Thank you for any feedback,
: I love this product. I switch between this and Spotify for background noise while working. Thanks for building it!
I currently use Noisli on my Macbook when commuting on the train. It's simple to use and allows me to mix different sounds to get the right combination. I'm not sure I would want to stream this from the web and incour the cell charges for background noise, though. I would stick with the Mac application and hope that it gets some of these updates.
Thank you for the feedback. We are not available as a mac app yet :) But, you do have offline sounds with our iOS app.
Ok, I feel like an idiot. On my mac I use a different app that is spelled and sounds very similar to Noisli. That's what I get for commenting before I've had my morning coffee....
Haha!! Don't worry Frank! If you want to use the original one then give Noisli a try and let me know what you think :)
offline mac version would be great esp when public transport commuting ;-)
we have an iOS app where all the sounds are available offline.
Went to the Launch Hackathon and wanted to get a few hours of sleep – so I popped my headphones on to Noisli!
That's awesome Tom :) What's your magic combo?
light rain and a crackling fire 👌
That's great! I've added a bit of Wind :) ☔💨🔥
I'm curious what inspired you to make Noisli.
Thanks for asking Noisli was born out of a personal need. I was working as a freelance designer from home and had a hard time focusing and being motivated. The thing is that if you work in total silence (e.g from home) or in a noisy place (e.g. co-working space) it has a huge impact on your productivity and can decrease it a lot. In my case the silence and the fact that I wasn't surrounded by other colleagues made me feel isolated and decreasing my focus. I'm very curious about science and I knew the benefits that background noises can have for your productivity, but no tool available was really satisfying my needs and giving me the user experience I was searching for. Well, that night I decided to create my own tool and basically Noisli was born :)
I use because they have a Mac app in the menu bar. But, I'm really liking the ability to click a button on Noisli and generate a random sound instead of trying to mix my own. I think the only thing your missing is a Mac app (which I'm sure is coming in the future) to make this my go-to product.
Thank you Parker for the feedback!! We are working hard to add some new additions to our product family :)
This was the app I was referring to in my post earlier. This is a good app and I hope Noisli can come up with something similar.
I'm one of those people who like focusing at work without being distracted. Noisli is definitely helping me with this. I'm looking forward to a Mac app as well :)
Thank you for the support Quadri :) If you have any other feedback just ping me anytime
I love it ! Thanks !
Thank you Adi :)
One of the best things i discovered. Maybe they will release a mac (menubar) app soon.
Maybe :) Thank you Manuel for the feedback
I'm a big fan of rainymood for focusing down, but I'm going to give this a go!
That's great Darren!! Any feedback you might have is very welcome so we can further improve the service :)
Awesome! I've been using Noisli for quite a while and really look forward to the Chrome version! Any plans for an Android version?
Sure ;) And thanks for the great feedback!
