Hey Product Hunt! I'm Nicholas, and I built NextUp. The thing that kept nagging at me: walk-in businesses have no idea how many customers they lose. Someone arrives, sees a full lobby, decides the wait is too long, and leaves — without signing in, without saying a word. The clipboard doesn't record them. The staff don't know it happened. It's a revenue leak with no signal. The fix seemed obvious: give customers a number. Show them where they are in line. Let them leave the building and come back when they're close. Send them a text when their barber or nail tech is ready. So that's NextUp. Customers scan a QR code at the entrance, join from their phone (no app to download), and get a text when it's their turn. The shop gets a live queue view, a TV display for the waiting area, a door kiosk, and — for the first time — actual data on how many people arrived versus how many were served. It's $29/month for the first location, $19 for each additional, 1,000 texts included, 14-day free trial. I'd love to hear from anyone who runs or works at a walk-in business — barbershop, nail salon, tattoo studio, auto shop, whatever. What does your current check-in process look like, and what's the biggest frustration with it? I've been building this for a specific pain point but I know I'm only seeing part of the picture.
