Viral post + new features + community milestone + red market

Hey everyone,

LOTS going on. Google just turned a core part of our product into a feature - which is always fun - BUT, we saw it coming when they added it to Workspace not long ago. Inevitable, really, importance of keeping an eye on the market. The wave of AI scheduling assistants is as validating as it is like white-water rafting...!

At least it’s happening in plain sight, so we can keep looking for the gaps and future spaces that aren’t so obvious (yet). More on that soon. In the meantime:

We had a great post from the largest AI community on Instagram that brought in a wave of new users - we’ve now sailed past 550+ people using Ting. Which means somewhere, right now, Ting is politely asking someone when they’re free... :-)

New releases:

→ Multiple Gmail accounts

You can now connect multiple Gmail accounts and calendars - work, personal, side projects. Ting checks across all of them to save you from double-booked dentist and work appointments. Our #1 most requested feature - delivered, finally!

→ Ting for WhatsApp

Out of alpha and now self-serve. You can talk to your calendar directly: ask what your day looks like, find free time, reschedule, or message guests - all from WhatsApp. It’s dangerously convenient. Just add your phone number to get started.

→ Ting Links

Everyone now has their own Ting link! Drop it in your bio or website - when someone clicks, it opens a thread with you, Ting, and your guest. Ting takes care of the rest. Want a custom URL (like /dan or /bizname)? Just reply or DM me - we’re giving them out first come, first served.

All of these are in early access - turn them on here:

meet-ting.com → Log in → Profile (top right)

You can also now see what we’re cooking (and upvote or suggest!) here:

meet-ting.canny.io

Outlook users: good news - it’s real, real close. I have anxiety seeing the waitlist for this grow, trust me, that is the only kind of growth that doesn't make us smile. :-(

Thanks for reading,

Dan

Love this update, Dan. The Google move stings a bit but it also validates the space. You’re clearly leaning into the gaps. The multiple Gmail accounts support is the big win for me (that’s where most of my double books start), and WhatsApp control sounds dangerously convenient.

@chrishicken Thank you sir, appreciate the morale support (re: Google) and good vibes generally! Total miss not getting multi-Gmail out sooner, but glad it's finally ready. WhatsApp is great, give it a go if you use it, hopefully SMS / iMessage next if you're US-side!

@dbul Appreciate the response, Dan! Totally understand timing is everything in this game. Keep pushing forward, you’re clearly building in the right direction.

Competing with Google means spotting the gaps faster. Curious: what’s next on the roadmap?

@abod_rehman Hyper vertical with recruiters, sales and consultants, and more focus on the calendar!
