Is the "Pay Once, Keep Forever" model for apps making a comeback?

Hey Product Hunt! We’re launching MacWise soon—an all-in-one native macOS utility suite. We made a deliberate choice to offer it as a one-time purchase with zero subscriptions. With so many utility apps moving to a subscription model, we wanted to build something you can just buy and own. Do you prefer one-time payments for utilities, or are subscriptions fine if the app is updated constantly? We'd love to hear your thoughts!
