Lovable Visual Edits - Faster and more precise edits

by
On top of Lovable's chat based AI app builder, you can now easily edit sizes, colors, content, and other stylings of any element on the page with a Figma-like experience. This feature is in early access.

Hey PH community! 👋 Anton here, creator of Lovable

We've received lots of feedback that people love the speed of AI, but crave the control over granular changes that design tools offer.

We've fixed this.

Introducing Visual Edits to Lovable.

What's new?

Changes to your Lovable projects could previously be made through prompting our AI, or committing code changes directly to Github.

Now, you can directly change text or components in the app interface. Edits there are instant and do not require a prompt to Lovable.

How to use Visual Edits in Lovable:
1. In the editor, you will then see a new button called "Edit" in the prompt box
2. Click "Edit" and select the element you want to change

3. Edit the element with any of our controls - or by applying custom Tailwind classes

Whether you are a designer, a developer, or have another background -- We think that this is the first step towards an entirely new way of building software.

This is of course just the beginning and we're already envisioning countless additions to the MVP. Would love your feedback & hear what you'd love to see added!

Anton

I think that in just a few releases from now I’m going to buy 10 seats for my team! Such an amazing platform! I was initially leaning towards Cursor, but what you are doing is insane.
Anton Osika

@marco_ceruti You can use Lovable & Cursor together! Lots of teams that start in Lovable, export the code, and eventually continue in Cursor

Vlad Arbatov

That's cool, but i don't see an option to enable Visual edits in the Account Settings, there's only "Chat modes"

Anton Osika

@vladzima Can you try again? We had it behind the Labs flag and just activated it for everyone!

Vlad Arbatov

@antonosika Not there, tried to relogin as well

Jack
I’ll be trying this for sure, sounds v cool!

@antonosika Hoppas vi får er hjälp på vår launch den 18 februari - och att vi ses på vår lanseringsfest :)

Hey Anton, I truly love the idea of building an app in seconds! As a busy entrepreneur, I don't have time to deal with complicated coding.

Being able to build a lovable app using only a chat interface would save me so much time and hassle. Thanks for making it happen!

Mikita Aliaksandrovich

Congrats on the launch! 🚀 Combining AI with Figma-like visual edits is a game-changer. Super excited to see where Lovable goes next!

Anton Osika

@mikita_aliaksandrovich So are we, thanks for the love!

Sam @CRANQ

Ahhhh nothing beats a bit of Lovable - Love to see the updates etc. Anton - Best of luck with this launch, can't wait to use it myself!!

Gabriel L. Manor

congrats on the launch! 🎉
It’s great that you’re bridging the gap between quick AI-driven changes and more detailed, hands-on tweaks. The ability to instantly adjust text or components without any extra prompts is a big time-saver, especially when fine-tuning design elements.

Nad Chishtie

@gemanor Hard agree! We're exploring switching between specialist interfaces where they make sense, expect more!
