How do you maintain "Clear Numbers" in small-scale production without losing your mind?
I run a paint production facility, and for a long time, my biggest challenge wasn't just "making paint", it was knowing exactly what was happening at every stage of the process.
We wanted total order: from the moment a raw ingredient arrives to the final product shipment. Most importantly, we needed clear numbers. In manufacturing, if your data is fuzzy, your profit is fuzzy.
We looked at existing solutions, but they were either too complex for a lean team or didn't give us the clarity we needed without a $300/month price tag. That s why we re building Krafte - a tool designed to bring order to the production floor and give management the real data they need to make decisions.
I'd love to hear from other makers: How do you handle the "messy middle" of production? At what point did you realize that simple spreadsheets weren't enough to give you the clarity you needed to grow?
