Excited to see Kilo Code expanding to JetBrains! 🚀

A couple of questions I’d love to hear about:

1️⃣ How do you tailor your launch messaging for developer-first audiences versus general users?

2️⃣ Any tips on getting early traction and engagement from developers on Product Hunt without relying solely on downloads?

3️⃣ How do you balance showcasing features with keeping the launch post clear and approachable for newcomers?

good q. talking to developers is definitely different. the main challenge is to find the right balance between simplicity and accuracy.

take the tagline for example—:

Fast, open-source AI coding agent for JetBrains IDEs

from my perspective, it mixes common expressions (open-source, AI agent) with more knowledgeable words targeting developers (JetBrains, IDEs).

hopefully this resonates to the community.

Absolutely, that makes a lot of sense! Striking the balance between simplicity and accuracy is key, especially for developer audiences who value precision but don’t want to feel overwhelmed.

I like how your tagline communicates both familiarity and technical credibility, it immediately signals value without being too dense.

ICYMI I detailed how launched in . Hope you'll find it helpful

Love seeing open-source!

Big win for devs who live inside PyCharm and IDEA... excited to see the launch.

My question for Sunday: What’s been the biggest challenge when looping in the developer community on new platforms? (I don't think its easy at all)

What’s been the biggest challenge when looping in the developer community on new platforms?

good q. I'm hosting an X Space with the team today at to answer that. tune in!

Sure thing, you'll find me there!

A game changer, the best of both worlds for Java/Kotlin devs - having all the power of IntelliJ + a great AI assistant such as Kilo Code. No need for going back and forth between IntelliJ and VS :)

exactly! less back and forth, more focus

Quick update: is launching again today.
