@dsllwn Thanks man! Really appreciate it.

Cool, I use polar and migrate to stripe. how do you handle that kinda low cost? 3.5$ is most low MoR I've ever seen.

Sachin

@greythegyutae Thanks! Yes, it's a special founder offer for our early customers.

@sachinchoolur Huge congrats on the launch! Managing payments infrastructure across billing, taxes, subscriptions, and compliance can quickly become a nightmare for growing startups, so bringing everything under one platform makes a lot of sense.

I’m currently building with Razorpay, and I’m curious — for teams already deeply integrated with Razorpay, how seamless is the migration process in terms of APIs, subscriptions, customer data, and webhooks?

Sachin

@achuet_kumar Thanks so much!

Are you mainly focused on the Indian market, or are you planning to sell globally as well?

Would be great if you could send your product details and current setup to hi@kelviq.com.

We'll take a look and suggest the best migration path.

what is different form Kelviq and paypal?

Sachin

@ronghaha

PayPal is mainly a payment method and payment processor. It helps you collect payments, but you still need to build and maintain the billing layer around it.

Kelviq is a Merchant of Record and monetization platform. It helps you handle global tax, compliance, subscriptions, usage-based billing, credits, feature access, license keys, digital delivery, and customer portal in one system.

So if you only need a simple way to accept PayPal payments, PayPal works well.

If you want to sell SaaS, AI, or digital products globally without building the full billing and compliance infrastructure yourself, that’s where Kelviq helps.

Hi Sachin,

Congratulations on the launch happening today.

I just signed up on the platform and noticed a few things that might be affecting user experience and retention.

First, I didn’t receive any email verification after signing up. That means anyone could potentially use any email address to create an account, which could lead to fake or unverified users on the platform.

Secondly, I also noticed there was no onboarding or welcome email sequence to guide new users on how to properly use the platform or get the best experience from it.

Onboarding emails are usually important because they help users understand the product faster, stay engaged, and increase retention.

Do you currently have an email marketer or retention system in place for user onboarding and lifecycle emails? @sachinchoolur

Sachin

@adeniran_ibrahim Hey Adeniran,

Thanks for signing up and sharing the feedback!

Yes, we’re aware of this. Email verification and onboarding emails are already on our list, and we’re working on improving the signup and onboarding flow.

Since we’re still early, we’re also doing a lot of hands-on onboarding with users directly, but we definitely want to make the self-serve experience much better over the next few weeks.

Tax compliance across regions is the part nobody talks about until it breaks. Curious how you handle VAT/GST for Indian SaaS sales specifically - that's been a pain point I've seen a lot of indie devs ignore until they're forced to deal with it. The 3.5% + 40¢ model is refreshingly transparent compared to the usual buried fee structures.

Congrats on the launch, @sachinchoolur .

Quick question on the usage-based billing: If I have a hybrid model where there's a flat monthly fee plus a variable rate that changes based on a 'unit' (like weight or API calls), how does Kelviq handle the mid-cycle calculation?

Also, does the Merchant of Record model fully cover the RBI e-mandate requirements for Indian customers, or is there extra setup needed on our end?

license keys in the same platform as usage-based billing is an interesting combination. most tools make you choose one mental model. curious if that's actually seamless or just two separate systems under one dashboard

Hi Sachin, does this work with Razorpay or replaces it and other Indian payment gateways?
Martius Juokemefa

The tax and compliance side of running a SaaS is honestly where most founders quietly suffer. You're heads down building, then suddenly you're dealing with VAT rules across 40 countries and wondering how it got this complicated. If Kelviq actually simplifies that layer — especially for founders outside the US who can't just default to Stripe — that's genuinely useful. What regions are you prioritizing first?
