Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Bertrand, and I built KeepKode because I was frustrated with password managers that either want my money, my email, or my data on their servers.
The idea is simple: what if your passwords never left your device? No account, no cloud, no sync – just local encryption that only YOU can unlock.
Why I built this:
- I wanted something truly free (not "free tier with limits")
- I didn't want to trust a company with my most sensitive data
- I needed something simple, not bloated with features I'd never use
The trade-off? No multi-device sync. But honestly, for many people, that's a feature, not a bug.
Tech under the hood: AES-256 encryption, PBKDF2 key derivation (300,000 iterations), SHA-256 hashing. Your master password is never stored anywhere.
Available in 6 languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese.
I'd love your feedback! Is local-only storage a dealbreaker for you, or exactly what you've been looking for?
Thanks for checking it out!
