I built IRL because terminals are where I live but nothing in them reminded me I'm a mammal. v2.0 is a full rebuild: a universal installer that figures out the registry for you (PyPI, npm, GitHub, or a direct URL — one command), real system stats with a grass-streak heatmap, a garden roguelike called Grassland Quest, a beat game made from 71 bundled lofi loops, and a terminal pet that sulks if you skip days. Everything works on Linux, macOS and Windows; the whole wheel is under 1 MB. Install it with pip install irl-pkg — free and AGPL open source, so roast it, fork it, and go touch grass. 🌱 What inspired it: versions 1.7.x of this tool had a bug where the source only existed inside the PyPI wheel and my GitHub never got the pushes. Recovering my own code from the wheel was humbling enough that I rebuilt the whole thing properly — tests, CI, cross-platform, the works.
