What if productivity apps have been solving the wrong problem all along?
Over the last year while building Kognis, I realised something interesting:
Most people are not struggling because they can’t capture information.
They’re struggling because modern life has become mentally fragmented.
Too many apps.
Too many reminders.
Too many systems.
Too many things competing for attention all day long.
At some point, productivity stopped feeling productive and started feeling like maintenance.
That’s what inspired Kognis.
Not as “another productivity app”, but as a system designed to reduce mental overload itself.
The core idea is simple:
instantly capture thoughts using voice
automatically organise actions/tasks
intelligently surface priorities
reconnect related information
recall things later in seconds
reduce cognitive clutter instead of adding to it
One thing that surprised me while building Kognis was how many people from completely different walks of life reached out saying:
“I genuinely need this.”
Founders.
Students.
Creatives.
Busy professionals.
People struggling with overwhelm and mental fatigue.
That’s when I realised this problem is much bigger than productivity.
Kognis officially launches in 2 weeks and honestly I’m excited because I genuinely believe the future of technology should help people feel mentally lighter, not more overloaded.
Curious if anyone else here feels like modern life has simply become too mentally noisy lately.

Really exciting! I totally agree...modern life is a mental juggling act. Kognis sounds like a thoughtful antidote. If you're up for it, I'm launching The Sponge, an AI‑powered flashcard tool that turns any webpage into study material, on PH soon ... would appreciate a follow (See "PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH" Link in my profile)
