Launching an App for Travellers

Hey everyone,

I'm Kunal, a techie and a traveler. I'm working on an app for travelers to help them find companions for their journeys. Not everyone enjoys going solo, so the goal is to connect people with like-minded individuals who share the same level of excitement, adventure, and a touch of madness.

I've thought of some features already, but I'd love for you all to suggest some ideas for ice-breaker features that could help people connect more easily.

How can users be sure that it is safe? I mean, it is sometimes like a blind date, and travelling with someone unknown can be a risk (different personalities, unaligned goals during the trip, etc.).

I’ll be adding government ID verification so that a person can create or join a trip only after verification. Additionally, you can recommend some tips to ensure safety. Regarding trip goals, there will be options such as trekking, camping, road trips, etc.

   Uber and Lyft both have a feature that allow women to request that the driver/passenger is another women. Safety (for both men and women) is going to be a huge issue for you and just because someone can be verified doesn't mean that they're not a creep. If you haven't already, take a look at what guided tour companies do.

   Sometimes it doesn't matter whether it is woman/man... There are frauds beyond.

 Okay, it seems more safe with ID verifications :)
