Introducing History All Around Us

by

Most students don’t dislike history—they’re just disengaged by how it’s taught.

We built History All Around Us (HAAU) to change that.

Instead of passive lectures or screen-heavy tools, HAAU delivers a narrative-driven, mission-based learning experience that transforms students into active participants in history.

🔹 What makes it different?• Immersive storylines + graphic novel content• Role-based missions that build critical thinking• Hands-on tools like journals, data banks, and tabletop gameplay• Standards-aligned curriculum (Grades 5–10)• Designed with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles

💡 Think of it as a “better way” to learn—blending storytelling, collaboration, and structured inquiry without sacrificing academic rigor.

We’re currently preparing for pilot programs and would love feedback from:• Educators• Parents• EdTech builders• Investors interested in the future of learning

👉 What would make this a must-have in your classroom or home?

Your thoughts will directly shape what we build next.

Love this fresh take on history education! The immersive storylines and role-based missions sound like a game-changer for keeping students hooked.

As a fellow EdTech builder, I'm checking out HAAU...I'm building The Sponge (https://thesponge.app), an AI-powered flashcard app with a browser extension that turns webpages into spaced repetition study cards.

If you're up for it, I'm launching on PH soon...would appreciate a follow (See "PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH" Link in my profile)

The concept of narrative learning through graphic novels + AR for grades 5–10 is exactly what a teenager who struggles with history needs. Having been that student myself and now working as a product designer in EdTech, I see huge potential here.

I'm currently researching how EdTech teams choose designers for product/UX tasks I'd love to learn more about your design process if you're open to a short conversation sometime!
