I want to say something that has nothing to do with features.
I went to one of those liberal arts schools where discussing ancient philosophic texts in the middle of a party was a normal thing. If you went to a school like that too, you know the routine. I heard it enough times that I started making the joke first, just to get ahead of it.
I spent a lot of that degree with Aristotle, and specifically with the Nicomachean Ethics. His argument, roughly, is that you don't get good at something by knowing about it. You get good at it by doing it, badly, over and over, with someone next to you who can tell you when you're doing it wrong. Excellence isn't a fact you acquire. It's a habit you build.
