I destroyed my marriage with patterns I couldn't name. So I built reFrame.

Whats gooooooooood Product Hunt!!!

I'm Neal, founder of reFrame. I've been around here for a couple months as I've been building in "secret", haha. Well not really secret, but you get the point, full time job, wife and kids, and that slight perfection job in which you go back and spend 5 hours on something that should have taken you 30 minutes (and I'm being modest on the 5 hours...). If you stop reading here, please just comment and let me know you can RELATE so I have some sense of normalization on this journey I've been on.

WEreFrame LLC is my company name, but reFrame is my product. First time entrepreneur and boy did I not know what I was getting myself into. I know there is so much more to learn but wow, do I have a whole new level of respect for entrepreneurs and what it takes to be successful here. I see videos about how I did this in 6 hours and now I bring in $50k per month, blah blah blah. I wish it were that easy.

So this is the part I tell you WHY reFrame exists today. I believe that no one should have to lose everything only to learn what was never taught. Let that sink in...

You see, life is about relationships to me, and every relationship matters. Over a decade ago, actually, almost 15 years at this point, I destroyed my marriage with patterns I didn't know had names. Contempt, criticism, defensiveness, stonewalling, and even one I'm not proud of, gaslighting. I used all five, and when used together, they're deadly. My wife, one of the strongest women I know, ultimately built the courage to leave me and filed for divorce. Yeah, I know what you're thinking, she should have...and I don't disagree.

You see, at the time, this was one of the darkest times of my life but do I dare say that it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me? Well it was, because for the first time someone held a mirror to my face and I actually looked...and I hated everything I saw. Real hate and disgust.

What came after wasn't quick or clean. Therapy, yes, but also thousands of hours of work outside that room until I could finally see myself honestly. Ultimately, my ex-wife and I remarried, not because time healed anything, but because the work changed who I was.

So I built reFrame so that nobody else has to lose everything before they learn what I learned. I'm the chainbreaker in my family and I want to help you be yours.

See the patterns. Break the cycle.

Wow, thanks for sharing such raw honesty. Turning that pain into a tool that helps others break cycles is powerful. Wishing you a smooth launch next week! If you’re up for it, I’m launching The Sponge on PH soon—a flashcard app that turns any webpage into study material. Would appreciate a follow (see PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH link in my profile).

This is a great idea! Too many people nowadays throw everything away without even trying to put in the work that could save it. And I absolutely agree, life is about relationships! Best of luck with your launch!

@adela_c Thank you so much Adela. I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment and I couldn’t agree more about life and putting in the work. My website is www.WEreFrame.com if you’d like to check it out. One day, reFrame will be come synonymous with clarity and truth, the same way Google is with search. Have a great evening and I hope to see you on my launch day!
