π Hi PH! I'm building nive, sleep sounds that fade out instead of waking you up
Hey everyone! I'm Sanjana, based in India and building nive with a small team.
It started with a personal annoyance: every sleep-sounds app I tried had a timer that cuts the sound off abruptly, and that sudden silence woke me right back up. So nive's Sleep Mode lowers the volume a little every minute until it's silent. You can also mix up to 6 sounds (rain, forest, brown noiseβ¦), cast them to a speaker, or just say "Alexa, ask neev sounds to play rain."
We're live on Android, the iPhone app is in App Store review, and we're launching here on Oct 20 π
Two questions for you:
What gets you to sleep: silence, white/brown noise, podcasts, or something weirder?
For those who've launched here: what's one thing you wish you'd done in the two weeks before launch?
Happy to return the favour: drop what you're building below π

Hi Sanjana, welcome! A timer that cuts the sound and wakes you up again defeats the whole point, so fading it out a little every minute makes sense. Honestly, I'm not much help on the sleep question. I work pretty much all day and just sleep when I am tired. Good luck on the 20th.
