I'm Emmanuel, a software developer and solo founder from Nigeria.

I've always enjoyed noticing small problems in everyday life and thinking, "There has to be a simpler way to do this."

That's what I love about building software. Taking something that is annoying, repetitive, or unnecessarily complicated and turning it into something simple and useful.

That's what eventually led me to build @Waloki .

I wanted a better way to keep track of subscriptions and free trials, especially the dates when I was actually going to be charged. But I didn't particularly like the idea of connecting my bank account or giving another service access to my financial activity just to solve that problem.

So I built the alternative I wanted.

Waloki is a manual-first subscription and free-trial tracker. You choose what information to enter, and Waloki takes care of the remembering with reminders, upcoming-charge tracking, a calendar, spending insights, and more.

The product is now live, and today is my first Product Hunt launch. 🚀

I'm really looking forward to getting to know the community, discovering what other people are building, and learning from the experience.
