Why do most service businesses lose leads after they already paid to get them?

by

I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently.

Most service businesses spend time and money getting leads…
but still lose a huge percentage of them.

Not because the leads are bad
but because of what happens right after they come in.

Someone calls or messages → no reply → they move on.

It’s such a simple problem, but it happens constantly.

I ran into this myself and it made me start looking deeper into:

  • how fast businesses actually respond

  • what happens to missed calls

  • how many leads quietly go cold

Curious how others here think about this:

Do you think most businesses have a lead problem…
or a response time problem?
